Are you registered with a competent person scheme and compliant with Part P?
Yes. We are registered with NICEIC , meaning all our work strictly complies with Building Regulations Part P and the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). We self-certify all applicable work and notify local building control directly.
What electrical services do you offer?
We handle residential and commercial electrical work, including repairs, panel upgrades, lighting installations, EV charger setups, rewiring, smart home integration, and safety inspections.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency electrical services?
Yes. Electrical emergencies don't stick to business hours. If you smell burning, notice sparking outlets, or experience a sudden total power failure, call our emergency line immediately.
What is an EICR and do I need one?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an in-depth safety inspection of a property’s fixed wiring. UK landlords are legally required to carry out an EICR at least every 5 years (or at change of tenancy). We also recommend them every 10 years for homeowners or when buying a new property.
Do you provide electrical certificates after completing work?
Yes. Depending on the job size, we provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC), along with Part P compliance certificates where required.
How much do you charge for an estimate?
We offer transparent upfront pricing. For simple standard installs, we can provide phone estimates. For complex troubleshooting or rewiring, we conduct an on-site evaluation before providing a detailed, fixed quote.
How are your services priced—hourly or fixed rate?
We charge flat-rate pricing based on the job requirements rather than hourly rates. This means no surprise charges if a project takes longer than expected.
Why does my circuit breaker keep tripping?
Breakers trip when a circuit draws more current than it can safely handle, often due to overloaded outlets, short circuits, or ground faults. Frequent trips mean a circuit needs rebalancing or a panel inspection.
When should I upgrade my electrical panel?
Consider an upgrade if your panel is over 25 years old, uses old-style fuses, shows rust/corrosion, or if you are adding high-draw appliances like heat pumps, hot tubs, or EV chargers.
Why are my lights flickering?
Flickering can indicate loose wiring connection points, overloaded circuits, or voltage fluctuations. While occasionally caused by power grid shifts, persistent flickering is a fire hazard requiring immediate inspection.
